Mr. Tarver agreed there should be a report from staff through the CMA on when there will be opportunities to discuss this. Ms. Michelotti indicated her limited experience with CMA indicates it takes a lot of effort to get a little money. Her point is she wants to explore every avenue to see where we can go. Mr. Pico felt that is what you do as a Council representative on CMA. If anything will happen for Alameda County to provide financial support for the Altamont rail plan, it must come through CMA. There is a process in place that must be followed. He did not object to directing the CMA representative to work to find funding, but he did not feel it was appropriate for Council to try to find funding from Pleasanton. Mr. Tarvet had no problem having staff clarify the process for Council. ~chool Board Liaison Committee Ms. Michelotti indicated that she would be assuming the duties of Ms. Mohr. There was no objection from Council. Fair Liaison Committee Ms. Michelotti reported that there had been a meeting with the driving range operator and there would be a letter coming regarding hours of operation, change of direction of lights, etc. It has been difficult setting a meeting of the Liaison Committee. The operator seemed to be open to obtaining a conditional use permit, if necessary. Mr. Tarver felt the direction was that there was to be a Fair Liaison Committee meeting at which time the operator was to be told he had to apply to Ple~__~nton for a permit. Business Dark impact fee There was discussion regarding the appropriate time to raise questions regarding the proposal to set a park impact fee for new business developments. The item will be on the agenda for March 5, 1996. Prevailing Wages Mayor Tarver requested an item be placed on the February 20, 1996 agenda to discuss Council's position on this issue. 02/06/96 19
