He described the
membership and the duties required. The Authority would meet a few times a year to deal with
all the issues. There has been interest on the part of the tenants in those pwjects to have
increased responsibilities. This arrangement reflects that and establishes an on-site group that
will meet on a regular basis with staff and a member of the Affordable Housing Commission to
deal with tenant issues. The tenant groups would meet on a monthly basis but the Housing
Authority Board will only meet a few times a year.

Ms. Michelotti felt that a Planning Commissioner on the Affordable Housing Commission
is really beneficial.

No one from the public came forward to speak on this issue.

It was moved by Ms. Micheloff, and seconded by Mayor Tarver, that Ordln~nee
No. 1674 be introduced, to be read by ti~e only and waiving further reading thereof,
establishing the Affordable Housing Commission, including the Phnning Commissioner on
the Commission.

The roll call vote was as follQWs:
AYES: Councilmembers Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr
ABSTAIN: None

01/02/96 -23-
