CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-77 RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF ROBERT BERKEY FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL OF A COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PROGRAM (Z-S7-552/AP-88-05) WHEREAS, Robert Berkey has applied for design approval for a comprehensive sign program for the approximately 13,500 sq. ft. Lincoln/Mercury auto Dealerships to be located at 4340 Rosewood Drive; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved the application on January 27, 1988 subject to certain conditions; and WHEREAS, this decision was appealed by the City Council so they could review the application more thoroughly; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 16, 1988 before the City Council at which time all pertinent testimony and documents were reviewed; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council denies the appeal of case Z-87-552 and therefore upholds the decision of the Planning Commission approving the application of Robert Berkey for design review approval of a comprehensive sign program for the approximately 13,500 sq. ft. Lincoln/Mercury Auto Dealerships to be located at 4340 Rosewood Drive, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the signage shall substantially conform to the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Department except as modified by the following conditions. 2. That all required City permits be acquired prior to installation of the signs. 3. That the used car sign be redesigned to a monument design to match the main entrance sign. The overall height of the sign shall not exceed eight feet in height. The final design of this sign shall be submitted for review and approval of the Planning Director prior to issuance of any building permits.
