Mayor Tarver asked if there was revenue to cover the carryovers for the allocations for <br /> Public Works inspection, plan checking, building inspection, etc. <br /> <br /> Ms. Rossi indicated that was accounted for. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala had some question about the City's share of property taxes received from <br />Alameda County. <br /> <br /> Ms. Rossi indicated staff had questions as well and were continuing discussions with <br />Alameda County officials. Similar discrepancies have been reported by other Alameda County <br />cities. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Ayala, to adopt Resolution No. 97-132, <br />approving the 1996-97 financial report and authorizing the recommended actions set forth <br />in the staff report. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver and Council commended staff for its efforts in maintaining the financial <br />health of the city and for the quality of the staff report. <br /> <br />7, MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked staff to review the condition of landscaping in the median on West <br />Las Positas from 1-680 to Hopyard Road. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver requested an update on street overlays and expressed concern about Second <br />Street and the lower portion of Kottinger Avenue. <br /> <br />8, CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta indicated the report and recommendations from the Library Commission were <br />due to be reviewed at the meeting of December 2, 1997.
