4, CONSENT CALENDAR

Robert Cordtz, 262 West Angela Street, requested the minutes for July 1, 1997 be
modified to include additional comments that he made at the July 1 meeting expressing his
concern about the City's notification process. He asked if Council had seen the petition of 150
signatures that he had submitted. He asked if the Mayor would review the video tape from the
July 1 meeting.

Ms. Acosta said the Council policy is not to attach petitions to the minutes. The petition
is part of the Clerk's record and will be forwarded to the pertinent departments for review.

Ken and Pare Chrisman, 1944 Vineyard, said they would like Item 4f changed to read
"expansion to existing residences and other existing buildings on the property" rather than limit
it to four hundred feet.

Ms. Dennis asked if agricultural buildings fell under the same rules as residential
buildings?

Mayor Tarver said that is why he raised the question about Item 6c.

Ms. Acosta suggested pulling the item and discussing it with Item 6c.

Mayor Tarver asked staff whether the Golf Course Committee has had a chance to review
the cost of the golf course architect.

Roger Higdon said the proposal for the golf course architect included basically the same
costs that were included in the contract proposal. The only cost that was not included in the
proposal was the actual final working drawings of the buildings. That portion of the contract
created some problems. It has been deferred until further studies could be done.

It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions
be taken on the Consent Calendar:

a. Approve the City Council Minutes for July 1, 1997.
Mayor Tarver abstained on this item.

b. Approve monthly disbursements in the amount of $3,375,180.48, Investment
Report, and COPS AB3229 Expenditures Report for May 1997. (SR97:209)

c. Accept the information report on towing of vehicles. (IR97:21)

d. Adopt Resolution No. 97-88, approving the tow service agreements for the City
of Pleasanton.
