MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 3, 1997 <br /> <br />6:00 p.m. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Council conferred with legal counsel regarding existing litigation (City of Pleasanton v. <br />Alameda County) concerning the Altamont landfill and regarding potential litigation against <br />Pacific Bell (indemnification). <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He reminded the community that <br />today is election day and said there was still time for everyone to vote. He congratulated Kay <br />Ayaia on being a new grandmother. <br /> <br /> Kay announced her grandson was born on Saturday, May 31, and weighed 81bs 9oz. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, <br />Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; Steven Bocian, Assistant City <br />Manager; Susan Rossi, Director of Finance; and Stewart Gary, Fire Chief. <br /> <br />3.
