(SR99:04)

Nelson Fiahlo presented the staff report.

Ms. Michelotti asked if TCI was synonymous with AT&T.

Mr. Fiahlo said it is synonymous with the holder of the franchise, which is Tele-Vue
Systems.

Ms. Acosta indicated the language in the letter has now been revised before Council
regarding the movement of the three peg channels.

Mayor Tarver appreciated the letter. He had worked on the original transfer to TCI in
discussing the ability to get additional channels. It was always his understanding that the three
channels would be close together and viewable by the residents. He felt the three channels
needed to be together in viewable range for all residents and be guaranteed that this would be in
effect till 12/31/00. He said this language should be maintained in the new franchise agreement
and not be subject to renegotiation.

Pleasanton City Council 21 01/05/99
Minutes
