Item 6d
AP-98-18 (PUD-98-06, Braddock & Logan)
Appeal of the Planning commission's denial of the application for: (1) PUD rezoning of a
one-acre parcel located at 16:]5 Rose Avenue from the A (Agriculture) District to the PUD
(Planned Unit Development) - MDR (Medium Density Residential) District; and (2) PUD
development plan approval for :]1 lots, ranging in size from 7,600 sq.ft. to 1:],400 sq.ft., on
1:].:] acres located at 16:]5, 1777, and 1851 Rose Avenue, generally at the westerly terminns
of Rose Avenue. Zoning for the property is A (A~riculture) and PUD (Planned Unit
Development) - MDR (Medium Density Residential) District.

Also consider the Negative Declaration prepared for the project.

This item was continued to the January 19, 1999 Council meeting.

Item 6e
Change of control of the Cable Television Franchise from Telecommunications, Inc. to
AT&T Corporation. (SR99:04)

Nelson Fiahlo presented the staff report.

Ms. Michelotti asked if TCI was synonymous with AT&T.

Mr. Fiahlo said it is synonymous with the holder of the franchise, which is Tele-Vue
Systems.

Ms. Acosta indicated the language in the letter has now been revised before Council
regarding the movement of the three peg channels.

Mayor Tarver appreciated the letter. He had worked on the original transfer to TCI in
discussing the ability to get additional channels. It was always his understanding that the three
channels would be close together and viewable by the residents. He felt the three channels
needed to be together in viewable range for all residents and be guaranteed that this would be in
effect till 12/31/00. He said this language should be maintained in the new franchise agreement
and not be subject to renegotiation.

Pleasanton City Council 21 01/05/99
Minutes
