MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Randall Lum reported on the status of First Street Bridge project and the Third Street
Reconstruction project. The First Street Bridge project is a replacement of the existing two-lane
bridge over the Arroyo Del Valle with a four-lane bridge and a widening of the roadway
approaches from Livermore that tapers down to two-lanes at Ray Street. The project has gone out
to bid with construction expected to start in mid-April and be completed sometime in the summer
of 2000. The Third Street Reconstruction project is shown in the priority schedule for fiscal year
1999/2000. This project will be brought before Council during the next CIP budget process. Staff
is currently working to develop a list of projects and a projection of revenues for the next CIP list.
If this project is approved construction could start in the latter half of 1999 and be completed in
four to six months.

Neil Nelson, 8088 Bethel Lane, challenged staff to give him a list of items that were wrong
with his home. To his knowledge, the color of the house and occupancy were the only issues still
outstanding

Gary Smith said all the items have been corrected.

Brian Swift said the outstanding issues are the color of the house and the occupancy permit.

Mayor Tarver said he was referring to the list of things that had been incorrect. He
understood that at the current time the only outstanding issues are the color of house, the occupancy
and the stonework.

Pleasanton City Council 3 01 / 19/99
Minutes
