Frank Favalor, 4017 Belle Drive, Antioch, said the United SteelWorkers have been in <br />Pleasanton since September 1998. He asked Council to send a letter to the president of Kaiser <br />Aluminum asking him to bargain with the steelworkers in good faith. He said Kaiser Aluminum in <br />the past has not put anyone out of employment. Unfortunately that is not the case now. Temporary <br />workers have been hired and many people are suffering. The union is following all the rules within <br />the law. <br /> <br /> 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />AP-98-18 (PUD-98-06h Braddock & Logan <br />Appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of the application for: (1) PUD rezoning of a <br />one-acre parcel located at 1635 Rose Avenue from the A (Agriculture) District to the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development) - MDR {Medium Density Residential) Districtl (2) PUB <br />development plan approval for 31 lots, ranging in size from 7,600 sq.ft. to 13,400 sq.ft., on <br />13.3 acres located at 1635, 1777, and 1851 Rose Avenue, generally at the westerly terminus of <br />Rose Avenueg and (3) review of the Planning Commission recommendation to initiate a <br />Specific Plan for the western Rose Avenue area. Zoning for the property is A (Agriculture) <br />and PUD (Planned Unit Development) - MDR (Medium Density Residential District. <br /> <br />Also consider the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the February 16, 1999 meeting. <br /> <br />7.
