It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 98-146, approving the 1997-98 Financial Report. It was moved by Mr. Pieo, seconded by Ms. Miehelotti, to commend the employees of the City of Pleasanton for all of their efforts in helping to maintain costs and in achieving surpluses again this year. Thomas Application for PUD development plan approval to create a buildable single-family residential lot approximate~ 1.24 acres in size and for construction for one, approximately 5,000 sq.ft., one and two story home located at 8098 Bethel Lane. Zonin~ for the pro_nertv is PUD (Planned Unit Developmeno LDR (Low-Density Residential) Foothill Road Overlay District. Also consider the negative declaration prepared for this proiect. (SR98: 287) Brian Swift presented the staff report. Ms. Michelotti asked, if the new owner of the lot decided to use the same house plan, would it still go before the Planning Commission for design review. Mr. Swift said yes. Staff believes it is unlikely that that plan will be used. The house was designed when Mr. Hempy owned the property and it is doubtful that someone would want to live in a house designed for someone else. Ms. Ayala asked staff to talk about the grading. Mr. Roush said the issue is how did Mr. Nelson' s lot get to look like it does today. There is a disagreement between Mr. Thomas and Mr. Nelson about how the dirt from the creation of Bethel Lane was placed on Mr. Nelson' s lot. It is Mr. Thomas's position that the dirt was put on the lot with Mr. Nelson's permission. The disagreement is how it appears. Mr. Nelson wants Mr. Thomas Pleasanton City Council 7 11/17/98 Minutes
