MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 17, 1998 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She congratulated the Mayor, Ms. <br />Michelotti and Ms. Dennis on their reelection to office. She was looking forward to working <br />together as a team for many years. She would like to focus on more family events for the <br />upcoming year. She mentioned that the Pleasanton Hometown Celebration would be held <br />December 5 in the downtown area. The event starts with a parade at 5:30 p.m. and the tree lighting <br />at 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben <br />Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City <br />Attomey; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall A. Lure, <br />Director of Public Works; and Sue Rossi, Director of Finance. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said there were no agenda amendments. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions be <br />taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a.
