MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 3, 1998 <br /> <br />6:15 p.m. Closed Session <br /> <br /> Conferred with labor negotiators Deborah Acosta and Nelson Fialho regarding the <br />Pleasanton City Employees Association. <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding potential litigation against the County of Alameda <br />concerning the Sierra Club initiative to place on the ballot a measure concerning water transfers <br />outside the Zone 7 boundaries; the legal issue is whether the vote is county wide or only within <br />the Zone 7 boundaries. <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Cit~ of Pleasanton v. County <br />of Alameda) (Altamont Landfill Expansion). <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver called the Regular Mceting of the City Council to order at 7:04 p.m. He <br />reminded evet3,one to vote and that election results can be obtained on the Internet at <br />www. co. alameda. ca. us. rov. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, and Mayor Ben <br />Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City <br />Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; and Randall A. <br />Lum, Director of Public Works. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Pico arrived at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />3.
