CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-41 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADDITION OF ONE FULL-TIME <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER POSITION IN POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> AND DELETING TWO PART-TIME COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER <br /> POSITIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are three full-time and six part-time Community <br /> Service Officer (CSO) positions authorized in the <br /> present Police Department budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, only four part-time CSO positions have been filled at <br /> any time and it is apparent there is a labor market to <br /> fill the additional full-time CSO position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council reviewed the report of the Chief of Police <br /> recommending an additional full-time CSO position and <br /> deleting two part-time CSO positions; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the addition of one <br /> full-time Community Service Officer position and <br /> deleting two part-time Community Service Officer <br /> positions. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2, 1988 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> KENNETH R.
