NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING <br /> DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a community meeting will be held <br />Tuesday evening, January 19, 1988, at the hour of 6:00pm, City <br />Council Chambers, 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California. <br />Residents, business persons and members of existing community <br />organizations located within the boundaries of the proposed <br />Downtown Community Development Area, as shown on the attached <br />map, are called upon to form a project area committee (PAC). The <br />PAC's main purpose will be to serve as the formal advisory <br />committee to the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Community <br />Development Agency (the "Agency"), through which the represented <br />community can participate in the preparation of a Community <br />Development Plan for the proposed Downtown Project Area and its <br />subsequent implementation. <br /> <br />The staff of the Agency will supervise an election at this <br />meeting for the purpose of electing a representative number of <br />members to serve on the PAC from the following classifications: <br />residential owner-occupants; residential tenants; business <br />persons; and members of existing community organizations. <br />Individuals in the various classifications who desire that their <br />names be placed on the ballot are asked to contact Chandler Lee, <br />by telephone or in writing no later than 5:00pm, on January 15, <br />1988. In the event a <br />person qualifies to vote for more than one slate of candidates, <br />e.g., a business person that is also a residential tenant, he/she <br />will be required to choose which slate best represents him/her <br />and vote only for that slate. The candidates receiving the most <br />votes in each classification will be elected as member~ of th~ <br /> <br /> <br />
