CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-292 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE <br /> LAND USE ET.RMENT OFTHE GENERAL PLAN <br /> REGARDING DETERMINATION OF POPULATION <br /> MARK (GP-88-5) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 21, 1988, the City Council <br /> received the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan <br /> regarding determination of population mark; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing <br /> on the proposed change and has made <br /> recommendations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative <br /> Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br /> General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. <br /> 88-291 approving the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the <br /> City Council on June 21, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make a change to the <br /> Land Use Element of the General Plan at this time <br /> as one of the four times during the calendar year <br /> such changes may be made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby eliminates the benchmark <br /> policy and establishes a growth policy of 0-650 <br /> market rate units per year tied to the ability of <br /> the City to provide infrastructure and services as <br /> expressed in a yearly Growth Management Report, and <br /> to include an additional 100 units per year to be <br /> allocated in the Council's discretion to qualifying <br /> low income housing projects. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
