CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-290 RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF JEANETTEWESTBROOK TO AMENDTHE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CHANGING THE DESIGNATION OF 14 ACRES ON OLD DUBLIN CANYON ROAD FROM "LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" ( GP-88 -4 ) WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 21, 1988, Council received the application of Jeanette Westbrook to amend the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan for an approximately 14 acre site located on the north side of Old Dublin Canyon Road generally in the area approximately 5,000 feet west of the intersection of Foothill Road and Old Dublin Canyon Road changing it from "Low Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" (GP-88-4); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed change and recommended denial; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City Council on June 21, 1988; and WHEREAS, concerns were expressed regarding traffic levels at Dublin Canyon Road and Foothill Road, the obstruction of views along 1-580 created by a proposed soundwall, and the extensive grading required to accommodate the increased density on the site; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council denies the application of Jeanette Westbrook to amend the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan from "Low Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" for an approximately 14 acre site located on the north side of Old Dublin Canyon Road generally in the area approximately 5,000 feet west of the intersection of Foothill Road and Old Dublin Canyon Road (GP-88-4). Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
