CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-289 <br /> <br /> RESOI/JTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br /> PT~ASANTON JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR A <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND <br /> USE DESIGNATION OF A 27 ACRE SITE AT THE <br /> SOUTHWEST CORNER OF BERNALAVENUE AND <br /> CASE AVENUE FROM "MEDIUM DENSITY <br /> RESIDENTIAL AND HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> TO "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL" (GP-88-2) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 21, 1988, the City Council <br /> received an application from the Pleasanton Joint <br /> School District to amend the Land Use Element <br /> designation of the General Plan from "Medium <br /> Density Residential" to "Public and Institutional" <br /> for an approximately 27 acre site located at the <br /> southwest corner of the intersection of Bernal <br /> Avenue and Case Avenue (GP-88-2); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the General Plan <br /> Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative <br /> Declaration was appropriate for the proposed <br /> General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. <br /> 88-288 approving the Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held with respect <br /> to the General Plan Amendment at which time any <br /> member of the public wads offered the opportunity <br /> to address the City Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make changes to the <br /> Land Use Element of the General Plan at this time <br /> as one of the four times during the calendar year <br /> such changes may be made; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the application of the <br /> Pleasanton Joint School District to amend the Land <br /> Use Element designation of the General Plan from <br /> "Medium Density Residential" to "Public and <br /> Institutional" for an approximately 27 acre site <br /> located at the southwest corner of the intersection <br /> of Bernal Avenue and Case Avenue (GP-88-2). <br /> <br /> <br />
