CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-263 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING LAND LOCATED <br /> ADJACENT TO THE BERNAL AVENUE EXTENSION <br /> AND Pr~ASANTON AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has a fee interest in a small parcel of <br /> land, which was purchased for Bernal Avenue <br /> extension and a piece of the old Pleasanton Avenue <br /> Alignment, which is no longer needed for street <br /> right-of-way purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 7, 1988, the City Council <br /> reviewed the report of the City Manager regarding <br /> the use of the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pending other disposition of the property, the <br /> Pleasanton Jaycees have requested a lease of the <br /> subject property for parking during the Alameda <br /> County Fair; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves leasing the the city-owned land <br /> adjacent to the Fairgrounds to the Pleasanton <br /> Jaycees for $1.00, to be used as a parking lot <br /> during the Alameda County Fair. <br /> <br />Section 2: At the conclusion of the Alameda County Fair, the <br /> land described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by this reference is declared <br /> to be surplus. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City shall notify all agencies required by <br /> law to be given first opportunity to purchase the <br /> surplus property. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City determines that the market value for the <br /> property is $140,000. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
