CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-248 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH <br /> PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY REGARDING <br /> MODIFICATION OF EASTBOUND OFF-RAMP OF I- <br /> 580/HOPYARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of recent field measurements of traffic <br /> counts on Hopyard Road, it has been determined that <br /> the eastbound off-ramp of 1-580 and Hopyard may <br /> need to be modified to improve its ultimate <br /> capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, actual construction is not needed in the short term <br /> and only if deemed necessary by the Director of <br /> Public Works because other mitigation measures did <br /> not come on line in the expected time frame; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company agrees to fund the <br /> costs of the off-ramp intersection modification if <br /> deemed necessary by the Director of Public Works; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the letter agreement <br /> between the City of Pleasanton and Prudential <br /> Insurance Company, regarding off-ramp intersection <br /> modification at eastbound off-ramp for I- <br /> 580/Hopyard Road, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the Director of Public Works and <br /> Utilities to execute the above-described letter <br /> agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
