CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-211 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING INSTALLATION OF <br /> FLUORIDE INJECTION EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the mid 1950's the City of Pleasanton adopted an <br /> official position to add fluoride to our City water <br /> system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when the North Pleasanton Area was developed, two <br /> new connections were made to the Zone 7 supply <br /> lines, however these new sources of water were not <br /> provided fluoridation because design of subsurface <br /> fluoridation injection systems was not available at <br /> that time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> presented a report to Council (SR 88:206) regarding <br /> the proposal to install fluoridation facilities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the installation of fluoride injection <br /> equipment at the two North Pleasanton water <br /> connection stations with Zone 7 supply lines. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the appropriation of $75,000 from the <br /> water fund for the purchase and installation of <br /> this equipment. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
