CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-196 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING DESIGN AND LOCATIONS OF LAVTA <br /> BUS SHELTERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 3, 1988, Council reviewed the <br /> staff report of the Director of Planning and <br /> Community (SR 88:198) regarding the proposed design <br /> and locations of LAVTA bus shelters; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the LAVTA Bus Shelter Program with the <br /> following conditions: <br /> <br /> Shelter Type: <br /> <br /> 1. Partial or cantilever shelter should have a <br /> translucent roof. <br /> <br /> 2. Shelters should be designed to allow modular <br /> additions. <br /> <br /> 3. Full shelters should be provided in areas <br /> where there is sufficient right-of-way, and <br /> where a partial or cantilever shelter will not <br /> fully protect against the rain; <br /> <br /> 4. The shelter planned for Hopyard Road at West <br /> Las Positas Boulevard should be the same <br /> design as those currently in the vicinity. <br /> <br /> 5. Shelters in the downtown area should be <br /> designed to be consistent with design <br /> guidelines governing that area. <br /> <br /> Shelter Locations: <br /> <br /> 1. Two shelters should be provided on Valley <br /> Avenue at Hopyard Road as shown on Attachment <br /> B. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
