CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-437 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF TAUBMAN COMPANY, INC FOR DESIGN REVIh~W APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT AN APPROXIMATELY 224,320 SQ. FT. ADDITION AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS TO STONERIDGEM/~T~. (NORDSTROM) Z-88-268 WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 6, 1988, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for design review approval for an expansion to the Stoneridge Regional Shopping Center consisting of approximately 64,000 sq. ft. of gross leasable mall shop expansion (2-level) and a 160,000 sq. ft., 3- level Nordstrom Department Store; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated June 30, 1988 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed development plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed development plan would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for design review approval to construct an approximately 224,320 sq. ft. addition and related improvements to an existing enclosed retail commercial mall complex located in the area bounded by Stoneridge Mall Road (Z-88-268). Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
