CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-437 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE <br /> DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF <br /> TAUBMAN COMPANY, INC FOR DESIGN REVIh~W <br /> APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT AN APPROXIMATELY <br /> 224,320 SQ. FT. ADDITION AND RELATED <br /> IMPROVEMENTS TO STONERIDGEM/~T~. <br /> (NORDSTROM) Z-88-268 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 6, 1988, the City <br /> Council received a proposed negative declaration <br /> for design review approval for an expansion to the <br /> Stoneridge Regional Shopping Center consisting of <br /> approximately 64,000 sq. ft. of gross leasable mall <br /> shop expansion (2-level) and a 160,000 sq. ft., 3- <br /> level Nordstrom Department Store; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the <br /> Initial Study dated June 30, 1988 and received the <br /> recommendations of the staff and Planning <br /> Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br /> time the public was given the opportunity to <br /> comment on the environmental impacts of the <br /> proposed development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential <br /> impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br /> local guidelines governing the preparation of <br /> Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact <br /> Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed <br /> development plan would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for <br /> design review approval to construct an <br /> approximately 224,320 sq. ft. addition and related <br /> improvements to an existing enclosed retail <br /> commercial mall complex located in the area bounded <br /> by Stoneridge Mall Road (Z-88-268). <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
