CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-425 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> OLIVER DE SILVA, INC., FORMSURFACING <br /> VARIOUS CITY STREETS, PROJECT NO. 885019 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> resurfacing various city streets, Project No. <br /> 885019; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on <br /> September 6, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Oliver de Silva, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $157,374.00 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Oliver de Silva, Inc. <br /> be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Oliver de Silva, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $157,374.00, for resurfacing various city <br /> streets, Project No. 885019, is hereby accepted by <br /> the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with Oliver de Silva, Inc. for the <br /> improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
