Commends <br />AZ Burrell <br />for <br />Act of Bravery and Assistance <br />this 4th day of September, 2007 <br />WHEREAS, Al Burrell has been recognized by the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police <br />Department for his act of bravery during an attempted carjacking of a female juvenile and assisting <br />police in the capture of the suspect; and <br />WHEREAS, Al Burrell acted without hesitation or concern for self; and <br />WHEREAS, through his act of bravery he was able to free the juvenile victim and assist police in <br />the detention of the male suspect. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Pleasanton City Council hereby recognizes Al <br />Burrell for his selfless act of bravery in coming to the aid of a citizen in need and for assisting the <br />Pleasanton Police Department in capturing a dangerous suspect wanted for carjacking and robbery. <br />Jennifer Hosterman, Mayor <br />Cindy McGovern, Vice Mayor <br />Matt Sullivan, Councilmember <br />Cheryl Cook-Kallio, Councilmember <br />Jerry Thorne, Councilmember <br />
