<br /> <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2007-28 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF MICHAEL O’CALLAGHAN FOR <br />DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR-602 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Michael O’Callaghan has applied for design review approval to demolish <br />the existing building (former Union Jack Pub) located at 725 Main Street <br />and construct a two-story commercial building in its place; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District, Downtown <br />Revitalization District, and Core Area Overlay District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of May 30, 2007, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in urbanized areas, the construction of a new commercial building of <br />10,000 square feet or less in area is categorically exempt (Section 15303, <br />Class 3) from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project is <br />consistent with the appearance of the existing buildings in the area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Case PDR-602, the application of Michael O’Callaghan for <br />design review approval to demolish the existing building (former Union <br />Jack Pub) located at 725 Main Street and construct a two-story <br />commercial building in its place, subject to the conditions shown in <br />Exhibit B, attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and <br />adoption unless appealed prior to that time. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
