1 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 17, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Thorne led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Closed Session Report: City Attorney Roush advised that there was no reportable action <br />taken in the closed session held prior to this meeting. <br />Introductory Remarks: <br />Councilmember Thorne reported that the next Joint Planning CommissioNCity Council Meeting <br />Workshop on the General Plan Update was scheduled for Tuesday. The workshop will include <br />a presentation of results of preliminary traffic modeling for all three land use options on the <br />working draft circulation network both with and without the Stoneridge Drive extension and at <br />the May 1 ~ Council meeting an agreement would be reached on the preferred circulation <br />network and land use plan to be used as a basis for preparing the draft land use and circulation <br />elements of the environmental impact report. <br />He noted the City of Pleasanton is hosting an electronic waste weekend, April 20 - 22 at the <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds and that the upcoming Saturday had been designated as <br />"Celebrate Pleasanton Residents Day." <br />He further noted that the City of Pleasanton was participating in the Tri-Valley Employment Fair <br />on Saturday, April 21 ~ from 10 to 3 at the Livermore Community Center and the Valley Teen <br />Job and Community Service Fair would be held the same day from 1 to 4 at the Dougherty <br />Station Community Center in San Ramon. <br />He concluded by highlighting the service of three individuals who are currently serving or who <br />have served in the military. Those individuals were Corporal David Brazel serving in the Marine <br />Reserves, Sergeant Nick Albert and Jim McGirk serving in the U.S. Army. <br />A moment of silence was held in memory of all those that have died in service to our country as <br />well as the 33 people who died at the University of Virginia. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />City Manager Fialho noted staff is continuing Item 18, the medical marijuana matter, to allow <br />time for the collection of additional data. <br />EXHIBIT 3 <br />
