CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-595 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSING ELRMENT OF THE GENERAL PlAN TO REQUIRE EACH RESIDENTIALPROJECT TO INCLUDE ITS PRORATA SHARE OF LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME HOUSING NEEDS OR TO CONTRIBUTE AN IN-LIEU FEE, OR TO MAKE ANY OTHER REVISION DEEMED IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST (GP-88-7) WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 20, 1988, the City Council received an application from the City of Pleasanton to amend the Housing Element of the General Plan to require each residential project to include its prorata share of low- and moderate- income housing needs or to contribute an in-lieu fee, or to make any other revision deemed in the public interest; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on the proposed change and has recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment and adopted Resolution No. 88-594 approving the Negative Declaration; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan Amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make a change to the Housing Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the four times during the calendar year such changes may be made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Housing Element of the General Plan to require each residential project to include its prorata share of low-and moderate- income housing needs or to contribute an in-lieu fee, or to make any other revision deemed in the public interest (GP-88-7).
