CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-594 <br /> <br /> RESOI/3TION APPROVING A NEGATIVE <br /> DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE <br /> CITY OF PT~ASANTON TO AMEND THE HOUSING <br /> ELRMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO REQUIRE <br /> EACH RESIDENTIAL PROJECT TO INCLUDE ITS <br /> PRORATA SHARE OF LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME <br /> HOUSING NEEDS OR TO CONTRIBUTE AN IN-LIEU <br /> FEE, OR TO MAKE ANY OTHER REVISION DEEMED <br /> IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST (GP-88-7) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 20, 1988, the City <br /> Council received a proposed negative declaration <br /> for the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> amend the Housing Element of the General Plan to <br /> require each residential project to include its <br /> prorata share of low- and moderate-income housing <br /> needs or to contribute an in-lieu fee, or to make <br /> any other revision deemed in the public interest <br /> (GP-88-7); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the <br /> Initial Study dated November 15, 1988 and received <br /> the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br /> Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which <br /> time the public was given the opportunity to <br /> comment on the environmental impacts of the <br /> proposed General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential <br /> impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br /> local guidelines governing the preparation of <br /> Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact <br /> Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed <br /> General Plan amendment would not have any <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for the <br /> application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the <br /> Housing Element of the General Plan to require each <br /> residential project to include its prorata share of <br /> low- and moderate-income housing needs or to <br /> <br /> <br />
