CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-538 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVINGAPPLICATION FOR <br /> GRANT FUNDS FORT HE ALVISO ADOBE <br /> RESTORATION PROJECT FROM THE CALIFORNIA <br /> WILDLIFE, COASTAL AND PARK LAND <br /> CONSERVATION ACT OF 1988 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the General Plan calls for the restoration of the <br /> Alviso Adobe as part of a historic park along <br /> Foothill Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, grants are available for restoration projects of <br /> this nature through the Wildlife, Coastal and Park <br /> Land Conservation Act of 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acquisition of grant funds will enable the City to <br /> begin to restore and create a historical park and <br /> will halt the further deterioration of an important <br /> link and symbol of Pleasanton's past; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves the filing of an application for <br /> the History and Archeology Grant assistance program <br /> from the California Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land <br /> Conservation Act of 1988 for the Alviso Adobe <br /> Restoration Project. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 15, 1988 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ATTEST: K R.
