Ruth and Going, Inc. R"~"G

17091-109
January29, 1988
Revised 3-11-88

FEE PROPOSAL
For The City of Pleasanton
Operations Service Center
Busch Road, Pleasanton, California

I. SCOPE OF SERVICES

The project consists of thirteen (13) separate and independent buildings totalling
approximately 94,000 sq. ft. on a fiat site of approximately 17 acres. The fees for
this proposal are based upon the Schematic Drawing designed by Ruth and Going,
Inc. and approved by the City of Pleasanton on December 16, 1986, Cooper and
Sword Storm, Sanitary and water Master Plans (Exhibits "A', "B" and "C"-tmdated)
and based on subsequent revisions provided to Ruth and Going, Inc. by the City of
Pleasanton at meetings held on December 17, 1987, January 13, 1988, January 21,
1988 and February 9, 1988. The services include architectural, structural
engineering, civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, mechanical and
electrical engineering.

A. Design Services:

1. Master Plan Revision: In view of the fact that the location of the Fire
Training Facility (presently under construction) is not compatable with
the approved Master Plan (i.e., approximately 85 feet to the North) this
proposal includes fees for modifying the Mater Plan to locate the
Evidence Storage Building, the Firing Range and Agility Course in a
manner consistent with the intent of the approved Master Plan.

2. Pre-Design Services: This proposal includes fees for needs assessment,
design programming and schematic design for the Evidence Storage
Building, Firing Range and Agilty Course. (Pre-design services for the
remainder of the facilities were provided by Ruth and Going, Inc. under a
previous contract.)

3. Pre-Bid and Negotiation: In view of the fact that the approved
schematics specify pre-engineered steel building, included in this
proposal are structural and architectural fees necessary to pre-bid the
pre-engineered steel building separately and independently of any
building interiors finishes and site work. This pre-bidding would occur at
the end of the Design Development Phase of work.

Page 1.
