CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-535 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DELEGATING AUTHORITY FOR <br /> ROUTINEAPPROVAL OF BUS STOP LOCATIONS TO <br /> T~E PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMRNT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since 1976, Council has approved bus stop locations <br /> and relocations by resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, changes and additions to these locations are <br /> periodically proposed by BART and/or the <br /> Livermore/Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) <br /> and/or citizens' requests; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff evaluates the locations using standard <br /> transportation planning criteria and all staff <br /> recommendations have been approved by Council <br /> without exception; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff review would not change, but time and <br /> paperwork involved could be reduced by delegating <br /> approval authority for bus stops to the Public <br /> Works Department; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SeCtion 1: The City Council hereby delegates authority to <br /> the Public Works Department for routine approval of <br /> bus stop locations. <br /> <br /> sectio~ 2:" This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED NOVEMBER 15, 1988 BY THE FOLLOWING <br /> VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: KENNETH R.
