CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-487 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SUNOL BOULEVARD ROAD <br /> WIDENING FROM BERNALAVENUE TO SOUTPrR, RLY <br /> OF JUNIPERO STREET ANDAPPROVING <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br /> WITH CONNOT.T.Y DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council has previously approved plans for the <br /> Oakhill Shopping Center located on Sunol Boulevard <br /> Between Mission Drive and Junipero Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with the construction of the <br /> shopping center, it is necessary to widen Sunol <br /> Boulevard and to install a traffic signal on Sunol <br /> Boulevard at Junipero Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, some of this construction is being done by the <br /> developer and if the City's portion of the <br /> construction is done at the same time, a <br /> considerable cost savings could be achieved; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the interim widening of Sunol Boulevard <br /> from Bernal Avenue to southerly of Junipero <br /> Street. <br /> <br />Section 2: Approves allocation of $187,986.00 of Measure "B" <br /> funds to the Sunol Boulevard widening project. <br /> <br />Section 3: Directs the Director of Public Works to prepare <br /> plans and specifications for the proposed widening <br /> project. <br /> <br />Section 4: Approves Amendment No. 1 to the Public <br /> Improvement Agreement between the City of <br /> Pleasanton and Connolly Development, regarding <br /> widening of Sunol Boulevard, a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> reference. <br /> <br />Section 5: Authorizes the Mayor to execute the above- <br /> described Amendment No. 1. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
