AMENDMENT NO. 5 CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL AUTHORIZATION OF EXTRA SERVICES FOR THE FINAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE STONERIDGE DRIVE INTERCHANGE 1. Purpose: The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to recognize and accept work performed by the CONSULTANT which is outside the project scope and to authorize and direct the CONSUL- TANT to proceed with additional work, both as specified in Item 2 of this AMENDMENT, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT between the parties hereto dated July 2, 1985. 2. Scope of Work: The work authorized by this AMENDMENT is described in the "Scope of Services" attached hereto as EXHIBIT 5-A. 3. Time of Performance: The work in EXHIBIT 5-A, described in Tasks 1 through 13 has been performed by the CONSULTANT at the explicit direction of the CITY staff in the course of the overall project work between February 1988 and September 1988. The schedule for Task 14 shall start in September 1988, and is expected to be completed by December 1988. The schedule for Task 15 shall start in June 1988 and ter- minate upon completion of all construction. It is recognized by both parties to this AMENDMENT that this schedule and estimated fee for the work remaining is dependent on actions by others and may require adjust- ment by separate amendment to conform to changes beyond control of the CITY and CONSULTANT. 4. Compensation and Payment: Compensation for CONSULTANT's services authorized by this AMENDMENT shall be on a Labor and Expense basis as provided in Article 2 of the AGREEMENT. The cost ceil- ing for the work shall be $194,978.00. The amount shall be subject to change by.separate amendment if the Scope of Services or Time of Performance of the Amednment requires adjustment. Data supporting the fee estimate are attached as EXHIBIT 5-B. Payment shall be in accordance with Article 2 of the AGREEMENT.
