CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 4th day of <br /> October, 1988, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br /> municipal corporation (herein referred to as "City"), and <br /> GEORGE E. HOMOLKA, INC., a California corporation, (hereinafter <br /> referred to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> A. Consultant is qualified to provide, and experienced in <br />providing project management services and has offered its <br />services for the purposes specified in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of Consultant for the purpose of <br />undertaking the project management for North Pleasanton <br />Improvement District No. 3 (NPID No. 3). <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, <br />agreements and conditions contained herein, City and Consultant <br />agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Consultant's Services. Consultant shall diligently <br />perform the services and furnish the materials, reports, maps, <br />and so forth as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br /> a. Consultant shall perform all work described in <br /> Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated <br /> herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> b. Consultan~ shall report to the City Engineer and <br /> shall meet with the technical staff of the City, <br /> other pertinent agencies, and/or landowners as <br /> necessary to complete the scope of work outlined in <br /> Section l(a) herein. <br /> <br /> c. Consultant shall provide his own office space at a <br /> location approved by the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> 2. City Services. The City will at its expense and with <br />approval of the City Manager furnish the Consultant with <br />necessary file storage, meeting rooms, office furniture including <br />telephone, computer and necessary software; secretarial services; <br />and other City staff assistance as may be needed if available. <br /> <br /> 3. Sufficiency of Consultant's Work. Consultant agrees <br />that all reports and other data prepared for City shall be <br />adequate and sufficient to meet the purposes for which they are <br />performed. <br /> <br /> <br />
