CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-200 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING $3,500 FROM T}IE <br /> PROPOSITION 4 OVERRIDE FUND TO COVER THE <br /> COST OF A BASE FORT HE LIBRARY SCULPTURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. and Mrs. Donald Person donated to the <br /> Pleasanton Library a sculpture titled "Girl <br /> Reading" in memory of their daughter, Sara Lees; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Library Advisory Commission has <br /> requested allocation of funds for the purpose of <br /> constructing a masonry stand for the "Girl Reading" <br /> sculpture; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Council approves allocation of $3,500 <br /> from the Proposition 4 Override Fund to cover the <br /> cost of a masonry stand for the library sculpture <br /> "Girl Reading". <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MAY 2, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmembers - Brandes an ~ <br /> ABSTAIN: None ~ f~' <br /> ATTEST: K MERCER, MAYOR <br /> <br />.~ ames . a er~ ity Clerk <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> Michael H.
