CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-196 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> OAKLAND FENCE COMPANY, FOR REPLACEMENT OF <br /> FENCE BETWEEN THE PI~ASANTON CANAL AND <br /> PT.RASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of a replacement fence between the <br /> Pleasanton Canal and the Pleasanton Sports and <br /> Recreation Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City advertised for bids regarding this <br /> project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on May 2, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Oakland Fence Company, in the amount of <br /> $13,892.00 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Community Services <br /> recommended that the bid of Oakland Fence Company <br /> be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Oakland Fence Company, in the amount <br /> of $13,892.00, for replacement of the fence between <br /> the Pleasanton Canal and Pleasanton Sports and <br /> Recreation Park, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract <br /> with Oakland Fence Company for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes an additional appropriation of <br /> $3,872.00 to the project and the balance of the <br /> Park Capital Improvement Program fund be reduced <br /> commensurately. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
