CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-177 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTI.RMENT OF <br /> WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Workers <br /> Compensation Appeals Board a case involving Terry <br /> Doe, a park maintenance worker; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's workers compensation claims <br /> administrator has requested authority from the City <br /> Council to settle these claims in amounts more <br /> fully discussed in the memorandum dated March 27, <br /> 1989 from the Director of Personnel to the City <br /> Attorney; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under <br /> the circumstances; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the <br /> above-mentioned case on the terms and in an amount <br /> not to exceed that requested by the Director of <br /> Personnel. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED APRIL 4, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None ~. <br /> ,TEST: KENNETH R.
