CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-162 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> GRAHAM CONTRACTORS, INC., FOR SLURRY SEAL <br /> IN HACIENDA BUSINESS PARK, PROJECT NO. <br /> 885046 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> the Hacienda Business Park slurry seal, Project No. <br /> 885046; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 4, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Graham Contractors, Inc., in the amount <br /> of $50,453.10 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Graham Contractors, <br /> Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Graham Contractors, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $50,453.10, for Hacienda Business Park <br /> slurry seal, Project No. 885046, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes an appropriation of $6,500 from the <br /> Street Improvement Funds for engineering and <br /> contingencies. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
