CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-161 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> MINTERAND FAHY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, FOR <br /> FUEL PUMP STATION FOR THE POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT, PROJECT NO. 888087 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> a fuel pump station for the Police Department, <br /> Project No. 888087; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 4, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Minter and Fahy Construction Company, in <br /> the amount of $74,686.00 was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Minter and Fahy <br /> Construction Company be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Minter and Fahy Construction Company, <br /> in the amount of $74,686.00, for construction of <br /> the fuel pump station for the Police Department, <br /> Project No. 888087, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a <br /> contract with Minter and Fahy Construction Company <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: Authorizes an additional appropriation of <br /> $39,500.00 from the General Fund for this project. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
