CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-153 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br /> GRADEWAY/BENCO, FOR THE STONERIDGE/I-680 <br /> INTERCHANGE - NPID NO. 3 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> the Stoneridge Drive/I-680 interchange, NPID No. <br /> 3; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., <br /> the City Engineering Services Division advertised <br /> for bids regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on April 4, <br /> 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Gradeway/Benco, in the amount of <br /> $4,663,140.40 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Gradeway/Benco be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Gradeway/Benco, in the amount of <br /> $4,663,140.40 , for the Stoneridge Drive/I-680 <br /> interchange, NPID No. 3, is hereby accepted by the <br /> City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract <br /> with Gradeway/Benco for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 3: The Director of Public Works and Utilities is <br /> authorized to issue a letter of intent regarding <br /> procurement and mobilization for the project. <br /> <br />Section 4: Authorizes the expenditure of $5,100,000.00 from <br /> NPID No. 3 to cover the contract amount plus <br /> contingencies, and potential incentive payments. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
