CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-133 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br /> T~E PT~ASANTON CHAMBER OF COERCE TO <br /> HOLD THE HERITAGE DAYS STREET FAIRE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce has submitted an <br /> application requesting that Main Street be closed <br /> from 9:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and <br /> Sunday, September 16 and 17, 1989, to enhance the <br /> Street Fair portion of the 1989 Heritage Days <br /> festivities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has reviewed this request and established <br /> conditions for approval; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the application of the Pleasanton <br /> Chamber of Commerce to close Main Street from 9:00 <br /> a.m. through 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, <br /> September 16 and 17, 1989 as part of the 1989 <br /> Heritage Days festivities. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Public Works Department will provide two <br /> employees to place and pick up 16 barricades at <br /> areas designated by the Police Department. <br /> <br />Section 3: The Public Works Director shall declare an <br /> unusual condition existing on Main Street from 9:00 <br /> a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, <br /> September 16 and 17, 1989, thereby authorizing <br /> emergency parking control signs prohibiting parking <br /> and allowing the closing of streets and the towing <br /> of vehicles in violation. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
