CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-124 <br /> <br /> ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO SIGN AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br /> PAYCO GENERAL AMERICAN CREDITS, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has entered into an <br /> Agreement with Payco General American Credits, Inc. <br /> for Payco to collect on the City's behalf certain <br /> accounts; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said accounts include debts for the City's cost of <br /> providing emergency responses, as provided for in <br /> Government Code §§53150, et seq.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because the validity and/or legality of these debts <br /> may be challenged by third parties· Payco has <br /> requested the City to indemnify it in connection <br /> therewith· <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorize to sign <br /> Amendment No. 1 to the above-referenced Agreement. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption· <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 21, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING <br /> VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None ~j~; <br /> ENNETH R MERCER AYoR <br />/3ames R.
