CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-122 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br /> APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has previously reviewed the <br /> appointment of an Alternate Plannihg Commissioner, <br /> a Housing Authority Commissioner and a member of <br /> the Library Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no vote was taken at the meeting of March 7, 1989 <br /> and it is necessary to take a vote at this time to <br /> formalize the appointments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, consideration of these appointments was not set <br /> forth on the City Council agenda for March 21, 1989 <br /> because the lack of a vote was not discovered <br /> until after the March 21, 1989 agenda was posted; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Brown act permits the Council to add an item to <br /> the agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council <br /> that the item arose after the time the agenda was <br /> posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, official appointment of these commissioners is <br /> critical because the commissions will be meeting <br /> and require action of the new appointments before <br /> the City Council meets again. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, <br /> resolutions appointing the Alternate Planning <br /> Commissioner, the Housing Authority Commissioner <br /> and the Library Commissioner are hereby added to <br /> the March 21, 1989 agenda for Council consideration <br /> and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
