CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-121 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REVOKING MINOR MODIFICATION TO <br /> PUD-83-9 WHICH ALLOWED RV PARKING AT <br /> GATEWOODAPARTMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 7, 1989, Council reviewed <br /> the report of the Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development (SR 89:107) regarding a minor <br /> modification to PUD-83-9, which allowed <br /> recreational vehicle parking at the Gatewood <br /> Apartment Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a representative from the management of the <br /> Gatewood Apartments explained to the City Council <br /> why this modification had been requested; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, testimony was heard from neighbors expressing <br /> concerns about permitting RV parking on the site; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, when the original PUD was approved by the Council, <br /> one of the express conditions of the PUD was that <br /> the CC&R's were to include a provision prohibiting <br /> the parking or storage of campers, trailers or <br /> boats on the project site, in an effort to address <br /> neighborhood concerns about problems associated <br /> with recreational vehicles parking on the site; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, although the Planning Director purported to grant a <br /> minor modification to the PUD to permit RV parking <br /> on site, the City Council finds and determines <br /> (1) that the Planning Director had no authority to <br /> approve this minor modification and (2) it would be <br /> contrary to a policy adopted for the benefit of the <br /> public to permit this modification; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby revokes the minor <br /> modification PUD-83-9-2M, which minor modification <br /> permitted 10 parking spaces in which recreational <br /> vehicles and boats owned by tenants could be <br /> stored on the site. <br /> <br /> <br />
