CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-107 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING DEPUTY CITY CT~RK <br /> POSITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 7, 1989, the City Council <br /> reviewed the report of the Assistant City Manager <br /> (SR 89:113) recommending establishment of a Deputy <br /> City Clerk position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, should the City Council agree to the establishment <br /> of this position, it is necessary to amend the <br /> 1988-89 Operating Budget; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:- <br /> <br /> Section 1: Eliminates the vacant position of Secretary to <br /> the Assistant City Manager. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Approves the addition of a new middle management <br /> position of Deputy City Clerk with a salary range <br /> of $2888-3755 per month. <br /> <br /> Section 3: Approves allocation of approximately $15,000 to <br /> purchase furnishings and equipment for the Deputy <br /> City Clerk office and $5,200 for the difference i <br /> salary between the Secretary position and the <br /> Deputy City Clerk position for the remainder of the <br /> year. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED MARCH 7, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None ~E~ <br /> KEN <br /> <br />//James R.
