PLANNING COMMISSION
_ CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION N0. 2431
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
FOUR ADDITIONAL BUILDINGS FOR REYNOLDS AND
BROWN AS FILED UNDER CASES PUD-82-1-2D and
PUD-80-14-2M
WHEREAS, Reynolds and Brown have applied for design review approval
of four office/warehousing structures and related facilities
totalling approximately 40,000 sq. ft. on approximately
four acres of land located at the southeast corner of
Owens Drive and Johnson Drive; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-
Industrial, Commercial and Offices District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 22, 1984
the Planning Commission reviewed all relevant documents,
public testimony and recommendations of the City staff;
and
WHEREAS, buildings B and C and C and D are slightly more than 20
ft. apart and one of the conditions of approval of the
original PUD is that all individual buildings be separated
by at least 40 feet. Even though buildings B, C and D
are connected by structural trellises, they are defined
as three separate buildings since the trell~ es have
no roofs. For this reason, the plans, as submitted are
not in conformance with the original PUD on the subject
property. Because of this, Reynolds and Brown has submitted
an application for a modification to the PUD. This application
is being addressed by the Planning Commission for consideration
in conjunction with case PUD-82-1-2D; and
WHEREAS, mitigated negative declarations were adopted in conjunction
with the previous PUDs approved on the subject property.
Architectural and site design implications were included
within the scope and content of those documents. Therefore,
no further environmental documents accompany this case.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY RESOLVES THE
FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Recommends approval of design review of four office/
warehousing structures and related facilities totalling
approximately 40,000 sq. ft. on approximately four
acres of land located at the southeast corner of Owens
Drive and Johnson Drive subject to the conditions shown
on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part of this case
by reference.
