PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2448 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-84-4, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />FOR PREZONING (ANNEXATION N0. 105) <br />WHEREAS, as part of the railroad consolidation project, the City will be constructing <br />an underpass at Bernal Avenue and the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way. <br />A portion of the land needed for the underpass is currently not in the <br />City limits of the City of Pleasanton, and therefore, is in the process <br />of being annexed. Prior to that annexation prezoning of the property <br />should be accomplished; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 28, 1984 the Planning Commission <br />considered the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone approximately <br />5.6 acres in the vicinity of Bernal Avenue and its proposed extension <br />on the east and west sides of the Western Pacific Railroad Tracks to <br />the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial and Offices, General and <br />Limited Industrial/Agricultural District, or to any other zoning district <br />consistent with the General Plan and to designate the balance of such <br />area for public roadway use; and <br />WHEREAS, at this same duly noticed public hearing the Planning Commission considered <br />all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendation of the City <br />staff concerning the proposed rezoning including the environmental impacts <br />of the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the Staff indicated there would not be <br />any significant impact on the environment should this application be <br />approved. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for case <br />RZ-84-4 as herein described. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE <br />28TH DAY OF MARCH 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Getty <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: March 28, 1984 <br />
