CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-87 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DEFINING THE SCOPE OF THE <br /> PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE <br /> DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 21, 1989, City Council <br /> reviewed documents and testimony regarding the <br /> proposed Downtown Redevelopment Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Downtown Specific <br /> Plan, which Specific Plan identifies certain public <br /> improvements to be constructed downtown; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Downtown Redevelopment Project, as proposed, <br /> contains a number of public improvement projects <br /> which are not included within the Downtown Specific <br /> Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council desires to make the scope of the <br /> public improvements in the Redevelopment Project <br /> and in the Specific Plan the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council modifies the scope of the public <br /> improvements to be included in the Downtown <br /> Redevelopment Project to be consistent with the <br /> Downtown Specific Plan, thus eliminating from the <br /> Redevelopment Project the Del Valle Parkway (Main <br /> to Stanley), the Sunol Boulevard Extension, the <br /> Union Pacific/Santa Rita Undercross, and the <br /> parking structures (but not the parking surfaces). <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
