PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2389 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR GP-83-15, APPLICATION OF THE PLEASANTON SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, Pleasanton School District has applied to amend the general plan land use designation from "Schools" to "Medium Density Residential" with regard to the following five sites: 1. Approximately 0.9 acres located near the eastern terminus of Lower Abbie Street just north of the Pleasanton Elementary School Site. 2. Approximately 7.2 acres located near the eastern terminus of Mission Drive just north of the City park facility. 3. Approximately 7.6 acres located between Black Avenue and Hansen Drive opposite Via de la Cruz on the north and Camino Brazos and Corte Melina on the south. 4. Approximately 22.2 acres just north of the eastern terminus of Crellin Road. 5. Approximately 10.5 acres just south of the eastern terminus of Crellin Road; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 9, 1983 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant maps and recommendations of the City Staff concerning the proposed general plan amendment including the environmental impacts of the proposal; and WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the Staff indicated there would not be any significant impact on the environment should this application be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Finds that based on the review of the Initial Study, public testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public hearing, there would be no significant adverse impact upon the environment as a result of approval of the proposed general plan amendment. Section 2. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for case GP-83-15 as herein described. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
