PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2389 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR GP-83-15, APPLICATION OF THE <br />PLEASANTON SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, Pleasanton School District has applied to amend the general <br />plan land use designation from "Schools" to "Medium Density <br />Residential" with regard to the following five sites: <br />1. Approximately 0.9 acres located near the eastern terminus <br />of Lower Abbie Street just north of the Pleasanton Elementary <br />School Site. <br />2. Approximately 7.2 acres located near the eastern terminus <br />of Mission Drive just north of the City park facility. <br />3. Approximately 7.6 acres located between Black Avenue and <br />Hansen Drive opposite Via de la Cruz on the north and <br />Camino Brazos and Corte Melina on the south. <br />4. Approximately 22.2 acres just north of the eastern terminus <br />of Crellin Road. <br />5. Approximately 10.5 acres just south of the eastern terminus <br />of Crellin Road; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 9, 1983 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant maps and recommendations of the City Staff concerning <br />the proposed general plan amendment including the environmental <br />impacts of the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the Staff indicated there would <br />not be any significant impact on the environment should this <br />application be approved. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Finds that based on the review of the Initial Study, public <br />testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public <br />hearing, there would be no significant adverse impact upon <br />the environment as a result of approval of the proposed general <br />plan amendment. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared <br />for case GP-83-15 as herein described. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
