PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2397 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR CAPITAL CONVEYANCE COMPANY <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-83-12 <br />WHEREAS, Capital Conveyance Company has applied to amend the General Plan <br />land use designation on approximately 1.56 acres located on the north <br />side of Valley Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village from <br />"Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices;" and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 28, 1983 the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant documents and <br />recommendations of the City Staff; and <br />WHEREAS, at this same duly noticed public hearing the Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for this <br />application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the pleas of the surrounding residential <br />neighbors and concurred that when zoning is considered, commercial <br />uses should be discouraged for this parcel. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the 1.56 acres located on the north side of Valley <br />Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village be changed from <br />"Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices" and that when <br />the property is rezoned, it is the intention of the Planning Commission <br />to recommend "PUD-Office" use and development only for the site. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON <br />THE 28TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey, Wilsosn and Chairman <br />Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: November 28, 1983 <br />ATTEST: <br />Robert J. arri retar ~~, <br />Y Wi liam A. mieson, Chairman <br />
